We have started our Winter Hours schedule (Open Friday, Saturday and Sunday until 9PM), but we also have a few Holiday closures we wanted you to know about:
- Christmas Long Weekend
CLOSED (23rd, 24th and 25th)
- New Year's Eve
11am to 5pm (special holiday menu)
- New Years Day
We are available ANY day for Private Parties at Surf Spot or for catering at the location of your choice. Winter Bonus: If you book a party when we're closed to the public, we'll waive the "whole restaurant" fee!

New Years Eve Dinner

Chef Hugo has created a special menu for New Year's Eve, and we will be serving from 11am to 5pm on Saturday December 31st.
Reservations are recommended for this popular evening.

We are taking advantage of our holiday closures to do a fluff-n-buff on the restaurant space. It's not a remodel, more of a deep cleaning.

New Chef Comes On Board at Surf Spot!

We are excited to announce that Chef Hugo Escobar has joined our Surf Spot family.
He will be applying his deep culinary knowledge to crafting some of our most well-loved dishes, while also incorporating new dishes that spring from his vast culinary creativity and experience.
Chef Hugo has spent more than 15 years in the SF Bay Area and Napa culinary scene, honing his craft at such places as Zazie and Brix.
Please join us in welcoming Chef Hugo! We hope you'll stop by and see him in action.

The restaurant will be closed Thursday and Friday, the 24th and 25th, so that our staff may enjoy the holiday with their loved ones.

Foggy Mountain Bluegrass Festival Returns to Surf Spot

The last one was so much fun, we're doing it again!
We'd love to see you here for our day-long bluegrass extravaganza on Sunday, July 24th.
Starting at 11:00am there will be six different bands and a special appearance by the Cabrillo School's Foggy Coast Kids. Plus, bring your guitar or other acoustic instrument and jam along with the musicians!

11:00am - Sara Rodenburg
11:45am - The Redwood Ramblers
12:30pm - The Dim Lights: Surf Spotters will recognize this bluegrass band, homegrown right here in Pacifica!
1:45pm - Festival Speed: Playin' pure, 190-proof, soul-stirrin', traditional 'grass.
3:00pm - Foggy Coast Kids: Kids from Pacifica's Cabrillo School sharing classic folk tunes with us.
3:45pm - Jim & Louise Mintun: An Americana-mix of old-style bluegrass, early country and well-loved western music. For Jim and Louise, each song is a story to tell. Come experience warm ballads, fiery tunes, and a whisper of sagebrush and trail dust.
5:00pm - Pacific Drive: Bluegrass with a youthful twist! members include Dana Frankel on fiddle, David Thiessen on mandolin, Jesse Fichman on guitar, Helen Foley on bass, and Sam Reed on banjo.
We Are Open July 4th!

Due to overwhelming requests, Surf Spot will be open on Independence Day, Monday July 4, 2016!
Hours: 12pm to 5pm
We will be serving a limited picnic menu:
- House-made pizzas
- Fish and chips
- Fish tacos (a Surf Spot fan fave)
- Loaded nachos (choose beef or chicken)
Come celebrate your Fourth of July with savory bites and an icy cocktail, or choose from a wide array of cold beers on tap.
Taste of Pacifica 2016

Join us for this outdoor event, presented by the Pacifica Chamber of Commerce, and enjoy food, wine and music, raffles, a silent auction, a sports memorabilia silent auction (including popular items from the Golden State Warriors & the SF Giants).
19 of our local restaurants & food establishments will be in attendance to serve and showcase their best bites. We'll be pouring wine tastings to compliment the feast. The OffShoots Band will be playing their blend of Americana, Bluegrass, Blues and Folk.

Time: 12pm to 3pm
Cost: $35 in advance, $40 at the door
Your ticket includes a wine glass & 1 wine drink ticket.

Christmas Trees at Surf Spot

This year we decided to bring the Christmas tree lot to Surf Spot!
Find your perfect tree, whether that's table-top sized, scraping the ceilings, full-branched, sparse to display more ornaments, or even your own "Charlie Brown" tree. Then drop in for lunch, dinner, or a post-tree-shopping snack!
Here's to happy holidays filled with laughter, love and delicious food!
No Live Music Thanksgiving Weekend

Foggy Mountain Bluegrass Festival Sunday Sept. 20th

An entire day of bluegrass, Americana, folk and country music. Bring your instrument and jam, or just plan to catch one, two or all five of the bands on stage. Plus, a special performance by the Cabrillo School Stringband!
And of course, we'll be serving up the great food and beverages you love!

Endless Summer Surf Day, September 13th

Spindrift School Performs Putnam County Spelling Bee

Pacifica's own Spindrift School of Performing Arts is bringing a taste of their musical theater to Surf Spot.
Come and see a mini encore performance of the Spindrift School of Performing Arts production of "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee."
Six quirky adolescents compete in the Bee, run by three equally quirky grown-ups. Watch as the spellers disclose humorous and touching stories from home all while vying for first place.
This special performance is only happening once, so be sure to stop by!

Pacifica's only non-profit performing arts school, SSPA is a vibrant community organization. They provide high quality performing arts experiences & training in shows, classes, private lessons and summer camps year-round. The school also offers outreach classes, grant based programs or in-school programs to every school in Pacifica.
